Good show guys. Really enjoyed the interview with Rupert Wyatt! It provided great insight into the business side of the filmmaking process, which is something few film podcast have are able to do.
I have to side with Felicia on her assessment of Wall-E. I loved the film as well. I have to disagree with Glen in regards to silence not working within animated films. Both The Illusionist (one of my favourite films from 2010) and The Triplets of Bellville prove that you can make engaging animated films with little to no dialogue.
Glad to see Miyazaki mentioned in the discussion, big fan of Castle of Cagliostro, Pocco Rosso, Spirited Away, and many of his other films (though I disliked Ponyo).
Lastly, some other animated films I enjoyed that were not mentioned (though you hit most of them including Fritz the Cat) are:
Shrek - Only the original mind you Akira – How is this not on the list? This seems like it would be an “Al pick.” Fantastic Mr. Fox The Ghost in the Shell Wallace and Gromit in the Curse of the Were-Rabbit Ninja Scroll
